Evidently the Giugiaro X-GT Parcour foretold a tipping point to the audi side of the fence, rather than Lamborghini.
Although I like the term R8 AllRoad compared to Nanuk.

R8 AllRoad is a bajillion times better. You win a cookie.
Sorry, I already took a bite.

Wait wait wait! An Italian tried this a decade ago. He even took it off-road and pulled a few oppo over there. It looked cool but didn't appeal to the class who were interested in buying it.
This sort of coupe body styles will kill your back every time you step out to winch yourself out. This pretty piece should get back to the ground.

I agree 100%

Granted, I don't have the money for this sort of thing...
But roads are getting worse, and most people don't drive on race tracks.
Some ground clearance is welcomed sometimes, for parking on non-paved surfaces, or winter driving, or the undeveloped road to a secluded weekend cabin, or whatever.
It isn't a workhorse, that is for sure... but one shouldn't have to drive a lumberwagon pickup, or a 7-passenger SUV just to get places without scraping the chassis on the ground.
My *slightly* lowered sport sedan has proved that point, with punishing ride quality, self-destructive attitude toward it's own bushings, joints, and dampers, and use of bumpstops.
If I could get some clearance, especially if it has Parcour's variable ride height between somewhat normal car height, and a bit of extra ground clearance... all the better for a driver.
A show car or a track car is about all that is left for a lowered car to do. Rough public pavement is not a friend to lowered cars.

Is this something Kuwaiti's would have bought a decade ago?

Yup. They didn't have roads back then. Now they have, so Ferrari and Lambo would do just fine.

I understand your point, and I thought too like that but thing is, if you're on such terrible road then you need to be sitting up-straight like in the SUV, coupe style will leave you in worse position than you think. Seating position is the disturbing factor. You'll always be leaning forward to see how to avoid the potholes, etc etc.

It is a mid-engined car. You are closer to the front of the car, and the front end isn't nearly as tall as even a normal car with pedestrian-crash-reg height over a front engine, let alone a jeep or a pickup or other bulky vehicle.
Somehow visibility doesn't seem like it will be a problem. And it is FAR from a rock crawler.
At most speeds above side city streets, pothole survival is more important than pothole avoidance, or frost heaves, or blown expansion joints, etc.
